I teach 5th & 6th grade Language Arts in NJ and have experiences with grades 5-8.
It's funny to think back on my student teaching and remember how scared I was to enter a FIFTH grade classroom. Now that I've taught only middle school, I can happily say that this is the place for me. My students are the perfect mix of sweet and innocent, yet old enough to be able to get into debates and serious discussions.
Some of my loves are:
My Shih Tzu puppy
Starbucks & DD
Yoga
Swimming
Kayaking
My family's beach house. It is my happy place.
Michaels & Hobby Lobby
Refurbishing old items by painting/etc. to give new life to them...aka pretending to be Joanna Gaines
Oh yeah and watching Fixer Upper, Dancing with the Stars, and Netflix
